Imran threatens to take to the streets again if rigging not probed

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has said that 2015 was the year of elections and threatened to come out on the street again if the judicial commission was not formed to investigate alleged rigging in the 2013 elections.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said his party would announce its line of action after the election tribunal had announced its decision about alleged rigging in NA-122.

Mr Khan said the PTI would play the role of a real opposition because people had been fed up of the PPP-PML-N ‘alliance’.

“Whenever traditional political parties feel insecure, they form an alliance against the PTI,” he said.

He praised Raza Rabbani, the opposition’s candidate for the post of Senate chairman, but said his performance would be monitored in the Senate.

He said the PTI would never become part of wheeling-dealing of the PPP and PML-N.

“If anyone has an objection or a doubt about the elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, we are ready to remove them through a judicial commission. All those who have robbed the mandate of people should be tried under Article 6,” he said.

Humayun Khan Mandokhel, a Senator from Balochistan, former MNAs Rao Qaiser, Rana Zahid and Chaudhry Safdar, former MPA Rana Aftab and others announced to join the PTI on the occasion.

I just can't believe that how people can still be so stupid and illiterate. Pakistan is really not developing economically. Metro buses and jangla buses are really not going to help at all. They are just the purpose of shame, that if a country doesn't even have to eat. They are making Idiotic kind of things here. This is not about imran khan =, but when we'll wake up. When will we realize all the things the most politicians are doing like nawaz sharif and zardari they are fake and only for their sake. Now the time has come that we have to wake up and have to do something for our country. If someone is trying to make a nation not making us confused in So cold "Rooti, kapra aur Makan Dialogues" Then we should help him and support him not to degrade him.

The marches were to highlight vote rigging --- And few dispute that did happen - No, it did not bring about "Inquilab" and that's a good thing. Pakistan needs investment, regardless of which party is in majority, isn't that right? What's the PTI's record on that score?, How much investment has it attracted to KPK?? Unfair you say? Why? what's unfair about the question?

Well, At least stop degrading a person who is trying to make a Nation. It's really easy to say anything native about any person, It's really hard to appreciate someone Who is really doing something and at least trying. Tell me something if someone is saying, Stand out if someone does anything wrong to you, Stand for your rights, and speak truth. Then i really don't think that he's doing anything wrong. We should be thankful that finally someone came after a long long time to make a change, or for justice. The all i can say those who think that he's someone wrong for our country so let me say that look at your self first, and your so cold leaders and stop defending them. That's enough to prove him a right man for Pakistan that he's from 18 years in polities and there's no corruption case on IMRAN KHAN. Think once and then say anything else.

Honestly, you can have a saint to contest elections tomorrow in this country and be called all sorts of vile names. That's the political culture of this nation. We place more trust in people whom we have been cursing for decades by allowing them to sit in the parliament and even be our presidents and prime ministers. Our media for the most part is nothing short of garbage and there is nothing independent or free about it. We allow ourselves to be lured into believing that despite the corruption, the land grabbing and even killings of God knows how many people, these people have the right to sit and preach others on public morality. I have seen up until very recently people debating over the religious affiliations of Mr Jinnah and which sect he belonged to and other such diversions as if that changes or diminishes his struggle in any way. Weren't there people who called him a Kafir? A word even the so called angel of peace Mr Gandhi used quite frequently to those he couldn't stand particularly the South Africans. The thing is if anyone dares to step into this circus of South Asian politics, they would be reviled and maligned.

No saviour will come from heaven to steer country out of crises: CJP

Says Pakistanis if united could become world’s best nation within a decade

    our correspondent
    Thursday, December 03, 2015

LAHORE: Supreme Court Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali has said unfortunately we could not build Pakistan in accordance with the vision of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam as mismanagement and corruption had led the country on the verge of collapse.
The chief justice said no saviour would come from the heaven to steer the country out of crises.
It is time for unity,” he said. “We should not be afraid of accountability and try our best to maintain the supremacy of law.”

The chief justice said many states which got independence after Pakistan developed due to better planning but we were still very far from the real destination. He said Pakistanis if united could become the world’s best nation within a decade.

He expressed these views while addressing a dinner-reception jointly hosted by the Pakistan Bar Council and Lahore High Court Bar Association in his honour at the lawns of the Lahore High Court on Wednesday. The chief justice said a common citizen does not like to follow even a traffic signal and feels humiliation while waiting at the red light.

Almighty Allah has bestowed the country with huge resources. “We as individuals do not fulfill our responsibilities and always try to find ways of plundering,” he added. The chief justice said unfortunately poverty, illiteracy, increasing population and lawlessness are the burning issues of the country. People do not pay taxes and utility bills, he further added.

Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ijazul Ahsan and all the judges of the LHC, law officers, office-bearers of the Pakistan Bar Council, Supreme Court Bar Association and Lahore High Court Bar Association were present on the occasion.

He said it was time to take steps to resolve the problems of the country as the Constitution not only bounds us to safeguard the rights but to discharge our duties to build ourselves as one nation. We are not here to destroy the system; we are here to make it stronger,” the chief justice said. He expressed his happiness on delivering the speech in the city of Data Gunj Bakhsh.
